Villa Zegna Arrives in NYC

ZEGNA’s most recent event in New York City was not just another stop on the fashion calendar—it was an immersion into the world of understated luxury and heritage that ZEGNA has cultivated for over a century. Held in the iconic upper east side, this event was more than a showcase, it felt more like a magnum opus. Showing true that the brand holds a unique ability to blend old-world craftsmanship with modern sensibilities.

The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as guests, ranging from industry insiders to celebrities, made their way through the sleek, marble-lined halls. Each step felt like an entry into the world of Italian elegance. ZEGNA had pulled out all the stops. With full immersion into the world of ZEGNA. But this year, there was something even more intriguing: a short film that offered a deeper dive into the brand’s soul.

The film, directed by Boramy Viguier and starring Roman Coppola, followed Coppola as he retraced the steps of ZEGNA’s founder, Ermenegildo ZEGNA, in his home region of Piedmont, Italy. In the film, Coppola is more than a mere observer—he reflects on his own roots and the impact of heritage, mirroring the values ZEGNA holds dear. The cinematic journey served as the perfect introduction to the event, as it highlighted not only the history of the brand but also the way ZEGNA has evolved while staying true to its core.

Guests were treated to a series of exclusive dinners, each designed to foster conversation and connections, much like Ermenegildo ZEGNA’s famous 1938 trip to New York, where he hosted a gala for Italian tailors in America. The event, echoing that history, felt like a meeting of the minds, where the world’s tastemakers could mingle and discuss everything from the latest trends to the most exciting emerging designers.

At the heart of the evening was the unveiling of the new Il Conte Jacket showcased in ZEGNA’s Fall/Winter 2024 campaign, featuring global ambassadors Mads Mikkelsen and Wu Lei.Shot amidst the breathtaking landscape of Oasi ZEGNA in the Italian Alps, the campaign is a celebration of nature and luxury, with the garments reflecting the serenity and sophistication of the surroundings. The focus on Oasi Cashmere—ZEGNA’s exclusive material—highlighted the brand’s commitment to sustainability without compromising on style. The campaign also introduced new icons to the ZEGNA wardrobe, including the “Il Conte” jacket and the Triple Stitch Monte shoe.

The “Il Conte” jacket, named in honor of Ermenegildo ZEGNA’s title of Count of Monte Rubello, was the centerpiece of the collection. Crafted from Oasi Cashmere, the jacket is a modern tribute to the founder’s legacy of excellence. It embodies both comfort and elegance, with a tailored fit that makes it a staple for any discerning gentleman’s wardrobe.
