This year’s Monterey Car Week was a true celebration of automotive excellence and the luxury car culture that California so proudly embraces. Rolex, as the official timekeeper, added its timeless touch to the week’s prestigious events, which featured iconic events like the Pebble Beach Tour d’Elegance, The Quail, and the Pebble Beach Concours. Racing enthusiasts were also drawn to the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Laguna Seca, where classic and historic cars raced around the track.
Among the highlights of the week was the presence of Rolex Testimonee and 2009 FIA Formula 1 Drivers’ World Champion, Jenson Button, exciting fans as he took to the track in his 1952 Jaguar C-Type. Reflecting on the week, Button said, “The great thing about Monterey Car Week is that it offers everything you could ever want. Including the fabulous events at Pebble Beach, The Quail, and of course the four days of historic racing at Laguna Seca. It’s rare that you can be in one place for a week and do something completely different each day, which is what I love about these events. We are also in a wonderful part of the world – California really embraces car culture.”
Monterey Car Week was a perfect blend of elegance, speed, and innovation. From luxury lifestyle events and record-breaking auctions to the latest in electric and hybrid vehicles, the week concluded with the crowning of the 1934 Bugatti Type 59 Sports as the Best of Show winner at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. This iconic event remains the ultimate destination for car enthusiasts and those who appreciate the finer things in life.
