New York has a way of elevating an evening, especially when the right mix of people, place, and purpose comes together. NOBLEMAN arrived in Manhattan for an intimate VIP gathering that blended West Coast sensibility with East Coast sophistication, set inside the newly unveiled flagship of Robert Talbott on Madison Avenue.
Hosted by NOBLEMAN founders Doug and Lydia McLaughlin, the evening brought together a curated circle of New York’s tastemakers, joined by culinary icon Daniel Boulud and Sébastien Silvestri, CEO of The Dinex Group. Also in attendance was special guest Alex Angelchik, CEO of Newsgroup, the parent company of Robert Talbott. The setting felt intentional, refined yet relaxed, a reflection of the brand itself and the community it continues to cultivate.

Founded in Carmel, California, Robert Talbott built its reputation on an uncompromising approach to craftsmanship, first earning acclaim for its ties and dress shirts. Over time, the brand has evolved into a full expression of modern menswear, offering pieces that strike a balance between polish and ease. The new Madison Avenue flagship captures that evolution, presenting a collection designed for men who value both comfort and quiet confidence.
The culinary experience, curated by Daniel Boulud, delivered with precision and restraint, allowing ingredients and technique to speak without excess. Complementing the menu, Morlet Family Vineyards offered a thoughtful tasting led by Claire Morlet, daughter of iconic Napa Valley vintner Luc Morlet, who is widely recognized for producing the most 100-point wines across multiple varietals. Guests moved seamlessly from Chardonnay to Pinot Noir to Cabernet Sauvignon, each pour reinforcing a subtle but meaningful California connection that echoed the heritage of Robert Talbott.
It was an evening defined not by spectacle, but by substance. A room filled with accomplished individuals, a brand with a clear point of view, and a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, hospitality, and style.
Until next time.
